The ClosureFAST® procedure sets a new medical benchmark in the treatment of vein complaints.

Newest studies suggest that every third Austrian suffers from a vein complaint; According to WHO (World Health Organisation) this number is set to rise in the coming years. Affected are women as well as men, and there are many reasons for that:  hereditary, obesity, Age, lack of exercise, standing up occupation, pregnancy. Every fifth person has to undergo a least one operation in his life caused by massive problems with veins.

 

So far, over 100.000 varicose veins patients have been treated with the little strenuous  endoluminal procedure.  Against the background of the established method, radio frequency treatment using ClosureFAST®, provides a definitively more comfortable treatment for the patient.

We now offer this comfort in the ambulant treatment of varicose veins to our patients. After a vein puncture, a catheter insertion can treat the main vein on the inside leg or calf, safely, gentle and pain free within a few minutes. Compared to conventional, and until now used laser treatment methods, the treated vessel is not ‘burned’, but glued together with gentle and controlled heat (Microwaves) and consequently closes up. Therefore, the surrounding tissue is not damaged, a problem that always occurred with existing treatment methods. This surgical procedure can safely be performed ambulant under local anaesthetic under constant ultrasound control.

Die Langzeitergebnisse der neuen Radiofrequenztherapie zeigen bei Schmerzentwicklung und Zufriedenheit der Patienten nach dem Ende der Behandlung wesentlich bessere Ergebnisse gegenüber den klassischen Verfahren und ist somit den bisher bekannten Methoden bei weitem überlegen. So geben im Verhältnis zu herkömmlichen Methoden nur noch wenige  Patienten Schmerzen nach dem Eingriff an. Üblicherweise sind die Schmerzen 2-3 Tage nach erfolgter Behandlung komplett abgeklungen. Durch Einnahme von leichten Medikamenten ist auch dies kein Problem.
